This year started out to what we thought would be my daughter’s happy year with a June graduation. When COVID-19 hit, everything fell apart. All activities were cancelled – we were sad after all the time she spent in school and to miss out on a graduation, hearing her name called and getting her diploma. My son recently turned 21 and we missed ways to celebrate that important milestone.

The Ferndale community and parents are going to do what we can to try to make it up to them. I am also trying to find work as I lost my job as a caregiver for my mom when she went into an Adult Family Home back in March. 2020 will be a year we will never forget.
