I work for the Nooksack Valley School District. What I missed most were my students (my family lives in California), so I decided to bring my kids to me.

I decorated my front windows with hearts and the message "I miss you – Love, Mrs. Benson" and invited them to come by for a visit and picture. I stay inside and they stand on my porch.

We always practice safe distancing, but I really want to hug them. This has made everything much easier and actually fun. I never know who's going to show up!
